Workshops 2012 (20)

Here will be announced the workshops offered at the conference. You too can offer a workshop. Simply login to the site and you will find a link here ("Add a new item in this category"). Click it, fill out the form, hit save and close the popup-screen. Your workshop proposal is placed below here.

The idea is to position ourselves on different situations / statements and discuss the differences (based on culture or not) by introducing the 7 dimensions defined by Fons Trompenaars (you can find a lot of information on the web, http://www.provenmodels.com/580/seven-dimensions-of-culture/charles-hampden-turner--fons-trompenaars/). The 7 dimensions are about “human relationships”, “time orientation” and “nature and planning”.

The Butterfly Way

Written by

The butterfly is a very strong symbol throughout the human history. A symbol of life and death, a symbol of freedom, a symbol of change. The butterfly way is a project that follows the stages of the butterfly metamorphosis as a metaphor for creating changes in our life. From the egg to the caterpillar and from the cocoon to the butterfly, there is a way full of potential learning. What is in our egg, what is our caterpillar made of, how do we protect our cocoon and what our “butterfly’ dream is. This short meeting with the butterfly  will try to give some answers.  A brief presentation of the model and its application together with one or two brief exercises.

The International Overview

Written by

Last year I did the workshop "Whats up in Europe". The aim was to get an picture about experiential education all around Europe. What are the chances, challenges, opportunities, tops and flops, trends and so on?

I like to go on with the idea of an international overview about E.E. I'll bring a questionary to make it easier and to save the results. So it'll be more an ongoing activity and not a workshop - but if there are some people who are interested to discuss the topic I'd be happy to do it in a workshop also.

Working with dysfunctional families, part 2

Written by

Last year in Slovenia we started with this theme with defining what a dysfunctional family is and the rules that govern that system. We also made a couple of initiatives that can be used in working with families and reflected upon the activities in regard to the theme.

This year we will continue the theme with the same method of short lectures/discussions, initiatives and reflection. We will try to connect with the content of last years workshop but go further into the dysfunctional system and work with rules and roles in the dysfunctional family. Even though it is a part two workshop it will be free standing and  you can attend this years workshop even if you didn't attended the first part last year.

Duration: 1,5 hours

Number of participants: Min 3, max 15

Outdoors if possible, otherwise indoors (obviously..)
