Cardboard Boats NO MORE! Print E-mail

Building a boat is a very used, popular, always well working team activity. We often did it in several different ways (wooden raft, inner tubes raft, and so on) but the Cardboard Boats Building Activity is (better: used to be) the most challenging improbable, strange way of building a boat we ever tried. But recently we noticed there is a big issue about that kind of boat: the huge cardboard / tape / plastic film huddle that rest at the end of the activity is something difficult to get rid of, and absolutely not environmentally sustainable.

In this workshop we would like to do 2 things:

  • First one, show our old way to propose the cardboard boats activity and have a sharing with other different and maybe more sustainable ways to do the same experience
  • Second: propose a new kind of more sustainable and recyclable Boat Model, using empty PVC bottles.

Time: 2 hours
Participants: 10 - 15
Outdoors (Swimming pool to try the boat!)
